Our Team

Mary Byrne

Commenced practise in Cork in 1991. Graduated from U.C.D. and successfully completed membership exams in Spinal Manipulation accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists in London. Member of the Irish Orthopaedic Medicine Society. Completed a Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2000. She is currently studying Year 2 for a Masters in Health Science in U.C.D., Dublin. She has years in practise both in the hospital and in the private sector. She believes in continuous education as being mandatory in maintaining top standards of treatment. Her main areas of clinical interest are in the assessment and treatment of chronic pain, biomechanical problems (feet), general women's health, period pain, menopause & infertility etc. using a combination of acupuncture and physiotherapy modalities.

Caitriona O'Sullivan

Graduated with a B. Physio (Hons) U.C.D. in 1991. Worked in the hospital system for a number of years in orthopaedics, rhuemathology, neurology and out-patients. Extensive clinical experience and post graduate education in musculoskeletal injuries, neck and back injuries, biomechanical problems (feet) and orthotic prescription insoles. Joined City Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in 1999. Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2001 and Member of the T.C.M.C.I. Worked with senior hurling, football & rugby teams. Currently actively involved in rehabilitation of the Irish Defence Forces.

Margaret Doyle

Graduated from Trinity College, Dublin in 1977. Worked in the hospital system for a number of years. She commenced working in private practice in 1989. Extensive experience in musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries and orthotics. Post graduate qualification in Women's Health in 1999. Special interest in incontinence problems in men and women. Completed a Licentiate in Acupuncture in 2002. Further clinic experience for six weeks in Naanjing, China on completion of this course.

Fiona Casey

Graduated from University of Bath in 1997 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy Degree. Having worked in Australia and the U.K., joined City Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in 2002. Extensive clinical background in Sports, Biomechanics (feet), TMJ (Jaw pain) and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Worked with professional sporting bodies such as the I.R.F.U. and the F.A.I. Physiotherapist with Cork Constitution Senior Rugby Team.

Paul Gray

Qualified from University of Hertfordshire in 2003 with a Batchelor of Science Honours Degree in Physiotherapy. Hospital based for two years before joining City Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic in 2005. Previously worked as a fitness instructor and gym manager overseeing a G.P. referral scheme. Special interest in advanced rehabilitation and exercise prescription in a gym environment. Worked with football, soccer and senior hurling teams.
